Good Morning Greenhouse

This row of greenhouses are positioned behind what is currently
an empty plot of land. Unfortunately the fate of this land is to one
day house an artificial home that will inevitably look exactly the
same as all the other icky ticky tacky houses in my neighborhood.
Until then, I will continue to enjoy this view from my front porch.

I have officially made it through the first half of my very first quarter
at The Evergreen State College. It has been the most rewarding,
exhausting, complicated five weeks of my life thus far. However, I am
finally engrossed in the application and study of where I foresee my life.

Touch Drawing

Below are some of my touch drawings from yesterday's workshop.
All of this work was done with my hands, thus the name.
Please enjoy
Again please go to Deborah Koff-Chapin's website,
without her I would not have had this experience.

Touch Drawing

Yesterday I had the most amazing opportunity to go to a Touch Drawing workshop on Whidbey Island. It was a very small intimate group of about nine other women. Deborah, the creator and director of the center for touch drawing opened up her personal studio for us. This was a once and a life time opportunity, and I feel so blessed to have been able to enter her sacred art space. All of the women who were there with me had something unique and special to offer the group. Being the youngest person there by a few decades I received such warm and encouraging words in regards to my continuing education and future career in the integrative arts medicine field. I will forever remember those women and their warm words.

Please visit Deborah Koff-Chapin's website

I will post a few of my drawings soon.

Update

This is Miss Mauser, she's perfect except she doesn't like to cuddle with me.
Work Work WORK!
So much for getting familiar with this strange new place I'll be calling home for the next two years or so. A few weeks before the move I started a pretty vicious job search. I was offered not one, but two jobs! Awesome right? But it leaves very little time for going on adventures and taking pictures and painting, and all of those other lovely things that helps to keep me sane. Oh and blogging of course! Unfortunately all this working puts my blog aspirations on hold for the time being.
This is not my cat.

Today marks my first official day in a new city.
I really hate goodbyes. So this is me yelling,
"HELLLLOOOOOOOOO there"
to anyone who can hear me.
New places and people and adventures await me.
This is my new life through a monochromatic lens.
